Fourth Meeting and Workshop of the WUN Communications Consortium Takes Place in York, UK
Date released 30th September
York played host to the fourth meeting of the WUN Communications Consortium. It was held immediately after WUN COGCOM 2010 its first public workshop which was held in conjunction with IEEE ISWCS. It was the largest event yet for WUN CogCom, with members attending in person or via Skype. The public workshop hosted over 20 peer-reviewed papers from WUN CogCom members and also those from outside with similar interests. The meeting was an opportunity for people from some of its 60+ member organisations to get together to discuss technical issues in Cognitive Communications, staff/student exchanges and next steps to develop the Consortium. Members from North America, Europe, and Asia participated. The Consortium is next scheduled to meet in Aachen, Germany in early May 2011, with the meeting being held alongside IEEE DySPAN 2011.
